First of all I come from a family of bull hauler and the only reason why they speed like that is your not on your time your on the cattle time you have got to get to a feed lot to get the cattle water or feed also it could be the process plant has you on a dead line there could be many reasons bull haulers are the kings of the interstate

Thank you SO MUCH! I got two rematches yesterday, and tried following the uber map routing, and it was absolutely a JOKE. Went into the general parking area on both attempts; First time I just gave up and canceled the ride. The second time I managed to make it to P3, but was on the wrong side of the barrier. Now I KNOW where to go. (Although it will probably mean the PAX will have to wait another 15 minutes, since the rideshare route was backed up past that Stop signs going into the garage.

Everyone saying how unsafe it is obviously never drove a forklift for their job ever. They train you for "safety" but once you're trained all they care about is how fast you can fire pallets on and off a truck. If you drove like they show you in the training videos it would take three guys to do the same work they expect from one in the span of a shift

Oh c'mon guys - I grew up in Medford and have you ever seen a log truck go the speed limit?! Hell no. In Southern Oregon you get out of the way when a log truck is behind you. Seriously. Why do you think they have rigs with nothing?! No comforts of any kind, just a seat, a windshield, a steering wheel and a gearshift: less weight, faster truck. The more loads they can get to the mill means more money.

Soon as those cattle hit the trailer it’s go time. Every minute is money lost. You’ve gotta move cattle fast, while keeping them cool, so that that retain as much weight as possible. In the cattle market (which I know very well) every pound lost is money lost, and when you lose many pounds, because your driver didn’t get there fast enough, you lose your profit. Live animals need food and water. If they stay in a moving trailer too long their legs get tired and they don’t get back up, causing your profit to fall. Most large scale cattle operations are barely floating over until they sell, which is all that pays for: feed, water, hay, land, help, and shelter. Speeding isn’t good but killing 300 head of cattle because you didn’t make it in time is far worse than getting a speeding ticket. Because 300 head of dead cattle is equivalent to $600,000 lost.

I would bet serious money that the swift driver is empty and heading to the walmart dc in Hermiston, Oregon just a few miles away. FYI: truck speed down cabbage hill is 65 mph as long as you’re under 40k. You probably would have seen the sign at the top of the hill had you not been distracted with your phone, driver. FYI 2.0: operating a hand held device while driving in Oregon come with a huge fine. Twice as much if you’re a commercial driver. Careful not to throw stones in a glass house.
